I'm new to the forum and have a couple questions regarding the evolution frame and pack system. I really like the function of the system and the waterproof pack bags, I think it would work well for me. My questions are:

1. Did the original day talon get discontinued?

2. I see that the body panel is tensioned mesh and with the design of the frame to ride close to your back, what prevents oddly shaped item from poking you in the back? I am only making assumptions from the pictures and I have a feeling I'm wrong, I would just like to hear it.

3. Do the over the top compression straps connect to the compression panel when not using a talon?

Thanks for the quick reply. I can't imagine a scenario when I wouldn't use a talon, I think it's a excellent place to store items and compress the load, I was just curious if the straps would connect. That's a shame about the original day talon, I would jump on one of those in a heartbeat. I understand packing carefully I was just curious if I had a 5 gallon bucket or something similar if it would jab me. Thanks again.

There might be a new option out soon. No timelines. We are trying to get a few new products out, but production has been keeping us pretty busy, which slows down new prod dev. It's a good thing being busy, but I'd like to get some of the newer concepts rolled out as well.
