Pouches

Just curious as to what brand/kind of pouches you guys run on the hip belt of your packs? I want to get something that will utilize the molle webbing so that it will secure well.

I own a lot of belt pockets (Kuiu, Granite Gear, Z Packs, Zimmerbuilt, etc). The only one-handed solution (important!!) so far are the Granite Gear belt pockets. They have a bit of foam sewn between the shell and liner to hold their shape, and the zip slides pretty easily. That said, their attachment system is a bit lame and I sew velcro strips to the back of the pocket to really secure it well. They also aren't huge, but big enough for my needs.

I'll try to remember to snap some pics of how I attach them.

I really like my Kuiu belt pouches. I just used little black zip ties on each end to secure it and it is an easy one hand open and close.

I bought some of the ZPacks belt pouches (in camo, almost matches the multi-cam Unaweep), and a black shoulder pouch. So far they all seem to work great.

For the belt pouches, tied a tight loop of cord around the webbing at the end of the hipbelt padding (very fronts), then used for the front connection, the daisy chain for the rear. Fits fine, altough note that I have the XL hipbelt.
