There was a question earlier about the SHOULDER STRAPS. I too think these are in need of redesign. I am used to carrying Osprey and Aarn backpacks that have beautifully contoured shoulder straps that come onto the shoulders closer together, then flare out to utilize the front of the shoulders, then turn in to where the sternum strap would pull them together then on down to the hip belt.
I have a set of the best shoulder straps Osprey sells, they are called BioForm. I may try to adapt the shoulder straps to my Paradox frame and (though I would't want to change it, they make a great BioForm hip belt too). Both these are easily changed out on the top of the line packs like the Xenith and the Aether.
I am looking hard at replacing the shoulder straps on the Paradox with these Osprey ones. They are awesome, thick and time proven with thousands of pack owners that are very happy with the Osprey suspension.
The biggest boon for me going to the Paradox was the hip belt that did not slip. It is a wonderful design, but new shoulder straps would be a welcome upgrade.

I did the mods on my paradox pack, fixed the hip belt making it more convenient to put on, added hydration pocket to accept the Osprey 3 liter contoured bladder, and adapted the Osprey, high end shoulder straps to fit on the Paradox pack using the same system for attachment to the frame as the old Paradox used. It's awesome and it's a fairly easy mod. See my new thread topic called Paradox Pack Improvements.
